The Partnership has successfully applied for a Local Improvement Advisor (LIA), with the support of Improvement East, to help review partnership governance arrangements. The key outcomes for the project are to recommend:
- options for new partnership governance structures and operating arrangements that will continue to enhance two-tier partnership working in Essex, to be in place from April 2011
- a plan for smooth migration from existing structures to any new model proposed
- a new set of operating principles, covering values and behaviours, and highlighting skills and development needs
For further details see the LIA Brief document.
The assignment has been awarded to Katy Donnelly and John Houston from Shared Intelligence. Their CVs can be viewed below:
The agreed initial focus was 1:1 interviews with Essex Management Board (EMB) members in advance of the Board meeting on 17 June 2010. To see a summary of the feedback to EMB, View the Partnership Governance EMB Presentation.
It was acknowledged that significant changes that would impact on partnership working had emerged since the Governance Review was commissioned, and were continuing to unfold. The Review as envisaged has been put on hold, and Katy and John will work alongside the Essex Partnership Secretariat as new ways of working are developed.
