Student Behaviour Partnership

Governance arrangements

  • To identify and moderate anti-social behaviour by students on buses and around bus stops
  • Curbing school students anti-social behaviour on buses is best achieved by collective action and education, using ECC and other funding, and staff resources, to incentivise the stakeholders to take action and share accountability. The first year s feedback suggests that it is working well, is liked by parents and is far more effective than volunteer or paid escorts on buses. Focus on providing and encouraging the use of CCTV onto buses to identify and evidence anti-social behaviour and by taking appropriate action when required to do so. By working with the students and parents to teach and encourage sensible behaviour. Through using educational promotional material and consulting with head teacher, teachers, parents and drivers. In extreme cases, court action is taken. Additional funding has been provided by Burnham United Solutions (a local Parish community partnership) and the Maldon District Council s Crime and Anti-Social Behaviour Partnership.
