Options for Independent Living

To reduce barriers to disabled people wishing to access public transport, parking, highways, pedestrian crossings and transport facilities. Makes an important contribution to ECC s accessibility objectives in the LTP. Other than ECC staff resources, the partnership has no discrete budget, relying on good faith participation by all stakeholders, including bus companies. Consultation with carers and disabled people identified 46 strategic and operational actions now being delivered by the Partnership through the relevant authorities. The Partnership contributes to the formulation of ECC s accessibility strategies and monitoring of progress. It is also the channel through which ECC communicates with disabled groups and people.
