Neighbourhood Meeting - Maldon
(formerly known as Neighbourhood Action Panel - NAPS)
PROBLEMS IN YOUR COMMUNITY?
YOUR LOCAL NEIGHBOURHOOD MEETING IS HERE TO HELP!
See below for the upcoming meetings
The Neighbourhood Meeting is where members of the public (you!) can discuss items of concern with a group of key individuals in the neighbourhood (residents’ representatives, police, district councillors, parish councillors, business representatives). The meeting will discuss the problems raised and select up to three priorities to be acted on.
To find out what action has been taken already and to help us identify priorities for future action, please come along
The Neighbourhood meeting is a police-led forum where members of the public can discuss items of concern in the neighbourhood.
Neighbourhood Meetings is one of the biggest and most successful crime prevention initiatives ever. Behind it lies a simple idea, and a central value shared by millions of people around the country:
Getting together with your neighbours to take action can cut local crime.
Everyone knows that the police are there to fight crime, but they need your help to do an effective job. Neighbourhood Meetings is all about an active partnership with the police. Neighbourhood Meetings schemes can:
- Cut crime and the opportunities for crime
- Help and reassure those who live in the area
-
Encourage neighbourliness and closer communities
