LAA Performance Management

Responsibility for delivering the Local Area Agreement is clearly set out in the LAA Governance Paper. Six thematic partnerships are identified as being accountable for delivery of the Essex Strategy and LAA priorities, ensuring that delivery plans are in place to achieve the targets for their thematic area of responsibility, monitoring and challenging progress and ensuring that delivery is managed effectively.  Each of the individual indicators also has an agreed target lead, responsible for managing the day-to-day delivery of the agreed targets with partners.

Further details of our performance can be found on the LAA Progress to date page.

The LAA Performance Management Group was formed to ‘develop, challenge and promote the approach to performance management, including risk and resource management, in accordance with best practice and in a way that supports delivery of the Agreement’.  Its terms of reference are set out at Annex 5 of the LAA Governance Paper. The Group was disbanded in March 2011.
