At CVSU our mission is to strengthen the voluntary sector in Uttlesford to enable it to:

• deliver effective Services
• benefit through funds from a range of sources
• be effectively managed
• work in partnership to develop a cohesive voluntary sector with a creative and lively voice
• for the ongoing benefit of the local community
• Our membership is open to voluntary and community groups and individuals

Our main functions

• Support and strengthening of local voluntary groups
• Representation of the local voluntary sector through membership consultation
• Partnership working on behalf of the voluntary sector with the statutory bodies on strategic planning issues
• Liaison to co-ordinate activity, eradicate overlap and enable effective joint working
• Development of services to cater for unmet need
